Huw Peplow MA VetMB MRCVS
Huw qualified in 1982 from Cambridge University. He worked initially in mixed practice in Ludlow, Shropshire moving to Bideford and then Abingdon before settling in Totnes. He has three cats, a dog and three horses. In his spare time he looks after a 20 acre small-holding, builds kit cars and enjoys skiing.
Rachel Carter BVetMed MRCVS
Rachel joined Seymour as a new graduate vet, having qualified at the Royal Veterinary College London July 2018. Rachel has recently qualified as a Marine Medic and will soon be venturing to India as part of a WVS Neutering Scheme. Outside of work Rachel enjoys kayaking, playing the flute and piano and learning to surf. She has a Westie called Benji who lives with her parents at home in Southampton. Interesting fact: Rachel is an identical twin!
Catherine Graddon BVetMed CertAVP MRCVS
Catherine qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004, after which she worked in a charity clinic in Sri Lanka and India. She joined us in 2005 and has a RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice (small animal). Outside of work, Catherine enjoys looking after her horse. She now works at the practice part-time following the birth of her daughter and will soon be welcoming her second child.
Bernadette Smyth BVSc MRCVS
Bernie originally gained a Degree in Biochemistry at Liverpool University, then after working for several years as a lab technician decided to follow her dreams of becoming a Vet and travelled to South Africa to do this at Pretoria University. She qualified as a Vet in 2008. Bernie has three cats, one of whom travelled all the way back from South Africa with her. In her spare time, Bernie enjoys Kayaking, hiking the coast path, exploring the Devon countryside, snowboarding, reading, and generally enjoying the outdoors.
Emily Wilks BVetMed MRCVS
Emily joined Seymour as a new graduate vet, having qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017. We know Emily well as she spent a number of her university placements with us; we jumped at the chance of having her as part of the team and have no doubt that she will be a brilliant vet! Outside of work Emily enjoys baking, horse riding and walking her dog.
